The Meetings & Events Department at Merivale is currently seeking a Sales Account Manager to join its professional, dynamic and highly regarded team on a 12 month Maternity leave contract – with potential to extend. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results focused professional with a strong work ethic and a well established sales background to take on this integral role and maintain the success of the accounts.

Essential duties for this role include business development activities to support and increase new business, selling of diverse and beautiful event spaces, implementing a proactive sales plan to achieve revenue goals that target the designated market segments.

You will also maintain a high level of communication with existing key accounts in various industry sectors. Other responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to the following:

• Overseeing the relationship and execution of events in conjunction with the event manager.
• Maintaining a comprehensive database of existing and potential clientele for Merivale.
• Maintaining a customer focus and ensuring that service delivery is timely and efficient.
• Meeting and greeting clients at events to ensure relationships and confidence are maintained.
• Implement various sales strategies and tactics to achieve budget across a range of revenue generation areas.

In order to be successful for this role you will have 3-5 years experience in a similar position within the hospitality, tourism or meetings industry in Australia.  You will be committed to delivering high levels of service and exceeding sales targets. 

Exceptional organisational skills and well developed research capabilities are essential.
